Vladimir Kasparov
Managing Director
Vladimir (“Vlad”) Kasparov is a Managing Director at Portage Point Partners, specializing in managing complex financial and operational restructuring. For more than 20 years, Vlad assisted clients, primarily in the middle market sector, in navigating periods of downturn, as well as providing interim management services and stepping into officer/director roles. Most recently, Vlad spent nearly 12 years at Andrews Advisory Group where he advised leading financial institutions, including mezzanine lenders, hedge funds and private equity funds during corporate restructurings and operational turnarounds, specifically involving companies that were experiencing various forms of distress.
Vlad’s vast interim-management experience includes serving as the Chief Restructuring Officer for a large national food co-packer and distributor. He guided the company through a comprehensive operational restructuring and a Chapter 11 363 sale process. In addition, Vlad served as the interim Chief Financial Officer of a national logistics and fulfillment company, where he led the company through both a comprehensive operational restructuring and eventual sale.
In his other numerous interim-executive roles, Vlad developed a reputation of guiding his clients through transition periods and providing them with a comprehensive, value-added strategies designed to ensure long-term growth and prosperity.
Vlad also has experience providing strategic advisory services to various Boards of Directors. He also led the implementation of several major operational initiatives of a $2 billion international bakery manufacturer and distributor, culminating in the refinance of nearly $400 million in global indebtedness.
Vlad earned his Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern Indiana where he also received his bachelor’s degree, majoring in Finance and Economics. In his spare time, Vlad is busy coaching his kids’ soccer, spending time outdoors with his family, playing golf and competing in numerous cycling events.
