Tosh Dhanalal

Tosh Dhanalal is a Managing Director and Head of Consumer Investment Banking at Portage Point Partners based in the Los Angeles office. With more than 23 years of investment banking experience, Tosh brings deep consumer brands and retail sector expertise across investment banking advisory services including sell-side and buy-side mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and equity and debt capital raises.

Having advised on more than 100 transactions with founder-led, private equity backed and public companies, Tosh maintains significant relationships with investors, lenders and stakeholders across the consumer industry. Tosh has developed unmatched experience with consumer brands in the apparel, home furnishings, home improvement, learning environments, pet, specialty and category dominant retail and services sectors. As a client focused banker, Tosh has repeatedly executed multiple transactions for individual clients in his career. His vast network and experience enables immense connectivity to the insights and capabilities that are critical to delivering bespoke, best-in-class outcomes to his clients.

Prior to Portage Point, Tosh was a Managing Director at Lincoln International. Previously, he spent nearly two decades at Piper Sandler. Tosh also co-founded a fintech company after working as an Analyst at Merrill Lynch and Wessels, Arnold & Henderson.

Tosh earned a Master of Business Administration with honors from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Macalester College. Tosh holds FINRA series 7 and 63 certifications.
