Zachary Verrilli

Zachary (Zack) Verrilli is a Senior Associate at Portage Point Partners in the New York office. He advises private equity sponsors, corporate management teams and other acquirers on navigating the financial reporting, regulatory compliance and operational transformation complexities associated with significant business events. 

Prior to Portage Point, Zack was a Senior Associate in the Deals Practice at PwC, where he advised public and private companies on initial public offerings (IPOs), divestitures and other strategic transactions. His experience spans the technology, media and telecommunications (TMT), energy and financial services sectors, where he supported clients with public company readiness, carve-out financial statements, quality of earnings analyses and finance organization transformation initiatives. 

He partnered closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to strengthen financial reporting, enhance governance and increase operational visibility. He also advised private equity sponsors on key performance indicators (KPIs), as well as investor, lender and other stakeholder communications. Across each engagement, his work focused on strengthening finance organizations through analytics, automation and technology-enabled solutions that enhanced reporting capabilities, streamlined processes and improved operational effectiveness. In addition to his client work at PwC, Zack contributed to the development of an internally deployed generative AI solution that leveraged natural language processing to streamline technical accounting research and improve the consistency and accessibility of accounting guidance. 

Zack earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance and Accounting from the Villanova University School of Business. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the State of New York.
