Wilbur Benitez

Wilbur Benitez is a Vice President at Portage Point Partners based in the Dallas office. Wilbur is responsible for conducting financial and operational analyses, developing key performance indicators, constructing 13-week cash flows, analyzing working capital optimization opportunities and assisting in the implementation of value maximization strategies. 

Wilbur has deep expertise in transaction execution, due diligence and portfolio company performance improvement, having collaborated closely with management teams to develop and implement value creation strategies, accelerate EBITDA growth, conduct liquidity analyses and support business model transformations. 

Prior to Portage Point, Wilbur was a Senior Associate at Trinity Hunt Partners, a lower middle market private equity (PE) firm, where he focused on evaluating and executing control investments across commercial and industrial services and professional services industries. Earlier in his career, Wilbur was an Investment Banking Associate at Moelis and Company in the media, entertainment and sports group, where he advised firms on sell-side and buy-side mergers and acquisitions. 

Wilbur earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame and Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington.
