Uday Rao 

Uday Rao is a Director in the Turnaround and Restructuring Services Practice at Portage Point Partners, based in the Dallas office.

Uday helps formulate bespoke operational and financial turnaround and restructuring strategies for a wide range of companies representing diverse stakeholders. He has experience in both in-court and out-of-court restructuring matters and deep expertise in business planning, liquidity management and serving in interim management roles.

Prior to Portage Point, Uday was a Director in the Turnaround and Restructuring Services practice at AlixPartners, where he specialized in business plan development, liquidity management and capital structuring, with a focus on the energy, chemicals and shipping industries. He advised companies on restructuring matters across North America, Asia and cross-border transactions.

Previously, Uday was a Senior Associate at Development Bank of Singapore (DBS Bank), where he focused on fixed income origination, specifically high-yield credit products. Prior to DBS Bank, Uday held roles in Credit Trading and Investment Banking at Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore.

Uday holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Rice University and a Bachelor of Accountancy from Singapore Management University. He served in the Singapore Armed Forces as a Third Sergeant with the 1st Battalion Singapore Infantry Regiment.
