Steven Shenker
Managing Director
Steven Shenker currently serves as a Managing Director at Portage Point Partners based in the firm’s New York office. His professional experience includes in-court and out-of-court restructurings, operational and financial turnarounds, performance improvement projects, strategic growth planning, private equity investing and merges & acquisitions. Steven specializes in working with both private and public middle market companies.
Since joining Portage Point, Steven has served as Chief Restructuring Officer of Blink Fitness, Chief Transformation Officer of QC Supply, Chief Restructuring Officer of Center for Autism and Related Disorders and Deputy Chief Restructuring Officer of Bouchard Transportation. Steven has also led over 10 other successful performance improvement and turnaround and restructuring engagements across various industries.
Prior to joining Portage Point, Steven was a founding member and Vice President at Periphas Capital, where he was responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing investments in middle market companies. Prior to Periphas, Steven spent two years at The Carlyle Group in its middle market private equity fund where he was responsible for overseeing five portfolio companies and evaluating and executing investments. Prior to Carlyle, Steven spent over two years as an investment banking analyst at Moelis & Company where he focused on mergers and acquisitions and restructuring transactions.
Steven graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science in Business and Management with a concentration in Finance from Sy SymsSchool of Business at Yeshiva University.
