Steve Bremer
Managing Director
Steve Bremer currently serves as a Managing Director at Portage Point Partners in the firm’s New York office, where he focuses on providing investment banking advisory services. Steve has over 17 years of investment banking experience advising on and leading restructuring, liability management, financing and M&A transactions, both in- and out-of-court, across a wide range of industries. Prior to joining Portage Point, Steve was a Partner in Centerview’s restructuring and debt advisory group where he spent eight years.
Steve’s experience includes representing Silo Technologies, Benitago, Ambri, Plastiq, Performance Powersports Group, Media Math, Blue Apron, Blackhawk Mining, Westmoreland Coal, Synergy Pharmaceuticals, TerraForm Power and TerraForm Global, Theranos, Crowne Group, Patriot Coal (2016 TMA Mega Restructuring Transaction of the Year), Caesars Entertainment Corporation, Aveos Fleet Performance, CNL Hotels & Resorts, Motor Coach Industries, Liz Claiborne and The Walker Group.
In addition, Steve has advised key stakeholders in numerous situations including Cineworld (appraisal rights claimants), Global Brokerage (Convertible Noteholders), Westinghouse (DIP Lender), Seventy Seven Energy (Term Loan Lenders), Peabody (First Lien Lenders), Aspect Software (Cross-Holder Group), Dendreon Corporation (Unsecured Creditors’ Committee), Energy Future Holdings (TCEH First Lien Creditors), Lenox Group (Term Loan Lenders), MBIA (Harris County-Houston Sports Authority) and American Airlines (Allied Pilots Associations).
Prior to joining Centerview Partners, Steve was a Director at Millstein & Co. and a Vice President at Miller Buckfire & Co.
Steve earned his Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and both a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science with distinction in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia.
