Stephen Weiner

Stephen Weiner is a Vice President at Portage Point Partners based in the New York office. Stephen is responsible for conducting financial and operational analyses, developing key performance indicators, constructing 13-week cash flows, analyzing working capital optimization opportunities and assisting in the implementation of value maximization strategies.

Stephen has deep expertise in transaction execution, due diligence and portfolio company performance improvement, having collaborated closely with management teams to develop and implement value creation strategies, accelerate EBITDA growth, conduct liquidity analyses and support business model transformations.

Prior to Portage Point, Stephen was a Senior Associate at TZP Group, a middle market private equity firm, where he focused on evaluating and executing control private equity investments across the business services, technology and consumer industries. Previously, Stephen was an Associate at Astra Capital Management, a middle market private equity firm focused on the technology services and telecommunications industries, where he was responsible for evaluating, analyzing and performing due diligence on new investments and managing portfolio companies. Stephen began his career at Lazard Frères as an Analyst in the technology, media and telecommunications group, where he advised firms on sell-side and buy-side mergers and acquisitions.

Stephen earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance (Summa Cum Laude), with a double major in Chinese, from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School.
