Stephen Golmont

Stephen Golmont is a Director at Portage Point Partners in the New York office, where he focuses on providing investment banking advisory services.​

Stephen provides a broad range of advisory services both out-of-court and in-court restructurings and distressed M&A assignments. In addition, he has experience executing various financing, recapitalizations and exchange transactions across the entire capital structure. Stephen has worked with clients across a wide range of industries, including automotive, consumer, healthcare, industrial, manufacturing, oil and gas, retail and ​business services. ​

Stephen’s experience includes representing LucidHealth, Avant Gardner, USD Partners, Rockall Energy, Stoneway Energy, Alliance Healthcare, TopGolf, Gavilan Resources, Red Robin, Beauty Brands, FuelCell Energy, Horsehead Holdings, Liberty Tire, Sidewinder Drilling, Nuverra Environmental, Associated Wholesalers Inc. and Thoughtworks. In addition, Stephen has advised key stakeholders in numerous situations including Sonrava, Venator, Heubach, Neotech, West Marine and Seadrill. ​

Prior to Portage Point, Stephen was a Director in Lazard Restructuring and Liability Management group where he spent 11 years. Earlier in his career, he was an Analyst at Zolfo Cooper, a distressed and turnaround advisory firm. ​

Stephen graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Cum Laude) in Finance and a minor in Classical Studies from the Dolan School of Business at Fairfield University. Stephen is FINRA Series 63 and 79 certified.
