Spencer Betancourt

Spencer Betancourt is a Vice President in the Investment Banking practice at Portage Point Partners, based in the New York office where he provides mergers and acquisitions (M&A) services. Spencer leverages deep expertise across the consumer, food and retail sector working with private equity and private and public companies on sell-side and buy-side engagements.

Prior to Portage Point, Spencer worked at Jefferies for five years in the M&A Investment Banking Group with a focus on the consumer sector and had closed more than $15 billion of transaction value. Spencer previously served in the United States Marine Corps at I Marine Expeditionary Force and later at the National Security Agency, ultimately obtaining the rank of Captain.

Spencer holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Virginia, Darden School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Colgate University. He holds FINRA Series 63 and 79 certifications.
