Skylor Rayburn

Skylor Rayburn is a Senior Director at Portage Point Partners based in the Chicago office. Skylor is an accomplished advisor and operator with more than 25 years of experience leading large-scale finance transformations, including finance process improvement, operating model and organizational redesign, shared services and outsourcing, financial planning and analysis optimization. He provides holistic support to Chief Financial Officers (CFOs), finance leaders and private equity sponsors, including serving in various interim finance executive roles and helping build leading finance and accounting functions.

Prior to Portage Point, Skylor served as Senior Managing Director and Office of the CFO Practice Leader at E78 Partners, where he led the firm’s advisory work for private equity and middle market clients. He built a reputation as a trusted advisor to CFOs, boards and private equity sponsors. He brought clarity and decisive leadership to the most complex finance and operational challenges, guiding clients through critical business inflection points.

Previously, Skylor served as Finance Operating Partner at Littlejohn & Co, a private equity firm. During this time, he provided leadership and guidance to CFOs across the firm’s portfolio companies, stepped into interim finance executive roles with a highly hands-on approach and partnered closely with portfolio company CFOs. Before Littlejohn & Co, Skylor’s consulting experience included CFO advisory and finance transformation leadership roles at AlixPartners, Alvarez & Marsal and KPMG, supporting global Fortune 500, middle market and private equity clients. Prior to consulting, Skylor served in several finance and accounting roles at Honeywell and International Paper.

Skylor holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and Strategic Management from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting from Loyola University Chicago. He is also a registered Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Illinois.
