
Scott Canna
Senior Director
Scott Canna currently serves as a Senior Director at Portage Point based in the Los Angeles office where he provides financial, operational and strategic advice to underperforming and distressed companies. His professional experience includes financial and operational advisory services to both public and private companies, mergers and acquisitions and strategic growth initiatives.
While at Portage Point, Scott has led the liquidity management and 13-week cash flow forecasting for Dura Automotive, a global Tier 1 automotive supplier, through its Chapter 11 proceedings and §363 sale. Additionally, he also served as second-in-command to the Chief Restructuring Officer in the Chapter 11 case and eventual sale of Loot Crate, Inc., a consumer subscription service company. While at Loot Crate, Scott drove significant positive impact through focused liquidity management initiatives, the development and implementation of vendor communication strategies and construction of a 13-week cash flow and DIP sizing model. Scott also served as interim controller, charged with daily management and oversight of the estate’s bank accounts and disbursement schedule. Most recently, Scott provided operational and restructuring advisory services to one of the largest travel companies in the world, assisting with contingency planning, cash management and restructuring plan workstreams. As part of the contingency planning process, Scott built the liquidation analysis model and drafted the report satisfying the best interests test for the liquidation of the nearly 100 global subsidiaries of the company.
Prior to joining Portage Point, Scott was a Private Equity Senior Associate with Winona Capital where he focused on investment screening, transaction diligence and execution and portfolio company operations in the consumer industry – including financial planning and analysis roles across health and wellness acquisition platforms. Previously, he was an Analyst in both the Global Industrials and mergers and acquisitions investment banking groups at Citigroup where he provided analytical support on mergers, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, financings and other financial advisory services.
Scott graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Administration from the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame and was a member of the Wall Street Forum. Scott is series 63 and 79 certified.
