Samba Patnaik

Samba Patnaik serves as a Director on the investment banking team, based in New York, where he focuses on technology. He has 15 years of experience in finance with nine years in investment banking, advising private and public companies as well as private equity firms and their portfolio companies.
Samba has spearheaded several investment banking (IB) advisory engagements with a cumulative transaction value exceeding $30 billion. His experience spans a wide range of investment banking services including public / private M&A, corporate divestitures, debt capital markets (DCM) and equity capital markets (ECM) advisory. He possesses deep domain expertise within key technology sector market segments including cybersecurity, infrastructure software, communication technology and industrial technology / software.
Prior to Portage Point, Samba was a Senior Vice President (equivalent to Director) on the Technology IB team at Jefferies. Prior to his career as an investment banker, Samba worked for six years at Temasek-owned Olam Group as a structured derivatives trader and risk manager.
Samba earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a Master of Technology in Industrial Engineering from Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai and Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from Nagpur University.
