Ryan Adams

Ryan Adams serves as a Managing Director at Portage Point Partners based in the Chicago office, where he focuses on expanding financial services industry practice for middle market private equity clients.

Ryan has more than 16 years of experience serving clients in the financial services industry across insurance, wealth/asset management, banking and capital markets sectors on transactions. Ryan leverages his extensive industry expertise and innovative due diligence approach to serve a vast range of deal value and technical complexity.

Ryan has executed and led buy-side and sell-side due diligence services with extensive experience in evaluating quality of earnings, net working capital, indebtedness, cash flow, transaction level revenue and margin trends, scalability of operations and unit economics and accounting policy and finance function review.

Prior to Portage Point, Ryan was a Partner in the Transaction Advisory Services practice at Ernst & Young. Previously, he served as a Managing Director at KPMG within their Chicago, Hong Kong and Delhi offices.

Ryan holds both a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor of Science (BS) in Finance and Accounting from Indiana University of Bloomington. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Illinois.
