Peter Mangan

Peter Mangan currently serves as Managing Director in the New York office at Portage Point, where he focuses on investment banking advisory services across the consumer, food and retail sectors (Consumer), specializing in food, beverage, retail, e-commerce and consumer products.

Peter has more than 15 years of investment banking experience including strategic acquisitions, sale transactions, divestitures, leveraged buyouts, debt and equity financings, recapitalizations and restructuring transactions. Over the course of his career, Peter has advised public and private corporations and financial sponsors on mergers & acquisitions (M&A) and financing transactions.

Prior to Portage Point, Peter spent more than 10 years with Guggenheim Partners where he was a Managing Director hired in the early stages to help build out the consumer and retail investment banking team. During his tenure at Guggenheim, Peter focused on advisory mandates across the entire ecosystem of large-cap corporates, middle market and emerging growth corporates and private equity sponsors.

Previously, Peter was an investment banker at Oppenheimer & Co. in the M&A department in New York. Peter started his career as an investment banker at City Capital Partners and Brown Gibbons Lang & Company based in Chicago.

Peter earned a Master of Business Administration with High Honors from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Finance with High Honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
