Namrata Vyas

Namrata Vyas is a Senior Director at Portage Point Partners within Transaction Advisory Services, providing tax due diligence and other strategic M&A tax advisory services. She is based in the firm’s New York City office. Namrata is a seasoned tax professional with over 15 years of experience in the world of Big 4 public accounting in the US as well as in London, UK. This experience includes M&A tax and tax consulting and compliance services for clients across various sectors including financial services, real estate, technology, healthcare and energy.

Prior to joining Portage Point Partners, Namrata spent more than 10 years in EY’s Transaction Tax Practice advising private equity firms and strategic multinational buyers on buy-side / sell-side tax due diligence and related tax planning and structuring engagements. Namrata has provided tax advice on over 150 due diligence engagements for private equity firms and corporate clients on deals ranging in value from $5 million to $10 billion.

At EY, she was instrumental in increasing the US Tax Desk size by fourfold in London, UK, including establishment of new US Tax Desk in Germany in under three years. While in Europe, Namrata advised middle market clients who were establishing or expanding their brand in the US. Prior to joining EY, Namrata was a consultant in PwC’s Transaction Tax Practice. Previously, Namrata was one of the key members who assisted in the creation of Transaction Tax Practice at KPMG’s New York City office. Namrata began her career in tax with the Michigan Department of Treasure as an income tax auditor.

Namrata holds a Master of Science in Taxation from Fordham University, New York. She is a Certified Public Accountant in New York State and a member of the American Institute of CPAs.
