Mark Johnson
Managing Director, Head of Industrials M&A
Mark Johnson serves as Managing Director and Head of Industrials M&A in the firm’s investment banking practice based in the firm’s Dallas office. He has more than 20 years of investment banking advisory experience working with private and public companies and private equity firms and their portfolio companies.
Mark has extensive expertise advising on strategic acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, corporate divestitures and recapitalizations and exclusive sale mandates as well as go-private and take-private transactions. In addition, he has advised on numerous capital markets transactions, including high-yield and traditional debt, equity and equity-linked financings, strategic alternative advisory engagements, and fairness opinions.
Prior to Portage Point, Mark led Houlihan Lokey’s Energy Services and Technology practice where he focused on M&A, capital markets, restructuring and financial advisory services, specifically for energy services, equipment and technology industries. Prior to Houlihan, Mark was an Associate in Jefferies & Co.’s Leveraged Finance Group advising on structuring and raising debt capital for acquisitions, bridge financings, growth financings, leveraged buyouts and recapitalizations. Mark started his career in the investment banking division of JPMorgan Chase & Co.
Mark earned a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration from The University of Alabama, and a Master of Business Administration from Rice University.
