Jonathan McElhannon

Jonathan McElhannon is a Vice President at Portage Point Partners in the Dallas office where he provides financial, operational and strategic advisory services to underperforming companies and corporate clients across restructuring and performance improvement engagements. His primary responsibilities include developing comprehensive KPI frameworks, constructing financial models including 13-week cash flows, conducting detailed operational analyses and assisting in the generation and execution of value creation strategies across various industries with particular expertise in healthcare.

Prior to Portage Point, Jonathan focused on restructuring and insolvency at Province, LLC where he led liquidity management initiatives for distressed businesses, including US-based manufacturers and health care systems. He also conducted complex solvency analyses for special committees across several industries.

Previously, Jonathan held roles at EY, rising to Senior Manager in Corporate Finance Consulting where he conducted detailed forecasting for specialty chemicals clients, partnered with healthcare organizations on growth, restructuring, corporate development and the integration of $5 billion in recent acquisitions. Jonathan began his career at Houlihan Lokey, where he specialized in litigation and investigations, performing cash flow forecasting and valuations presented in court for a variety of disputes and bankruptcies.

Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The Citadel, Military College of South Carolina and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
