Geoffrey Schmitz

Geoffrey (“Geoff”) Schmitz is a Director in Portage Point Partners’ investment banking group and is based in the firm’s New York office.

Prior to joining Portage Point, Geoff was a member of Houlihan Lokey’s Special Situations and Financial Restructuring Group where he advised companies, secured lenders, bondholders and other creditor groups in out-of-court and Chapter 11 restructurings.

In addition to assisting clients with financial restructuring services, Geoff has provided clients with a variety of other investment banking and valuation services, including debt and equity financings for distressed and non-distressed companies and advising on the acquisition or sale of companies in distressed and non-distressed situations. Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Geoff was a Senior Associate at Providence Equity Partners and began his career at KPMG.

Geoff earned his Master of Business Administration from the UCLA Anderson School of Management holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting from Bucknell University.
