Garrett Spriggs
Vice President
Garrett Spriggs currently serves as a Vice President at Portage Point Partners where he provides financial, operational and strategic advice to underperforming and distressed companies on both restructuring and performance improvement engagements. His primary responsibilities include conducting financial and operational analyses, developing key performance indicators, constructing 13-week cash flows, analyzing working capital optimization opportunities and assisting in the generation and execution of value creation strategies.
Prior to joining Portage Point, Garrett was a Vice President at LKCM Headwater Investments, an industry agnostic middle market private equity firm that managed over $2.0 billion of invested capital. He was responsible for sourcing, evaluating and analyzing new investment opportunities as well as monitoring portfolio companies across the industrial and consumer industries. While at Headwater, Garrett closed two platform acquisitions, seven add-on acquisitions and led strategic value creation initiatives across four portfolio companies. Additionally, he helped lead the successful merger and integration of three LKCM owned portfolio companies to form Distribution Solutions Group (NASDAQ: DSGR), a multi-platform distribution company with high-touch, value-added distribution and supply chain solutions across the MRO, OEM and Industrial Technologies markets.
Previously, Garrett was an Associate at Stellex Capital Management, a deep value middle market private equity fund targeting control investments in underperforming, undervalued or special situation businesses. At Stellex, he helped lead the successful investment in Morbark, which resulted in the acquisition and integration of two add-on acquisitions and subsequent sale of the business to Alamo Group (NYSE: ALG). Garrett began his career as an Investment Banking Analyst in the Regional Investment Banking and M&A Group at J.P. Morgan, where he advised middle market companies across various industry sectors on mergers, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, financings and other financial advisory services.
Garrett graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University and was a member of the Alternative Assets Program. He is based in Dallas, Texas.
