Ethan Retcher

Ethan Retcher is a Senior Associate at Portage Point Partners in the Chicago office. Ethan is responsible for conducting financial and operational analysis, developing key performance indicators, supporting value creation initiatives, constructing 13-week cash flows, analyzing working capital and assisting in the overall implementation of value maximization strategies.

Prior to Portage Point, Ethan was a Senior Financial Analyst of Debt Capital Markets and Strategic Finance at The University of Chicago. In this role, Ethan provided strategic guidance to the university’s leadership team and executed several financing transactions, including a $1.9 billion revenue bond transaction that was recognized as The Bond Buyer’s 2024 Midwest Deal of the Year.

Previously, Ethan was an Investment Banking Associate at Lincoln International where he delivered capital advisory services to middle market clients. While at Lincoln, Ethan constructed operating models, conducted capital structure analysis and identified strategic alternatives for private equity-backed and independently owned middle market businesses across industries.

Ethan graduated summa cum laude from Miami University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. Ethan holds a Series 63 and 79 certifications.
