Don Agee

Don Agee is a Managing Director at Portage Point Partners, where he focuses on driving growth and performance improvement for private equity-backed companies through hands-on advisory engagements. He works closely with private equity sponsors and portfolio company executives to navigate complex business challenges, drive operational efficiency and unlock enterprise value.

Don’s approach emphasizes the integration of data analytics with financial and operational workflows, providing clients with clear actionable insights to drive transformation and value creation. With nearly three decades of expertise in financial and operational transformations, liquidity planning and digital enablement, he partners with CFOs, private equity operating partners and deal teams to deliver pragmatic solutions that directly tie to return on investment (ROI) and enterprise value creation. He has consistently led engagements that accelerate growth, drive enterprise value and enabled companies to scale efficiently and effectively through digital and data-driven solutions.

Prior to Portage Point, Don served as the Eastern Region Leader and commercial head at Accordion, a financial consulting firm specializing in private equity-backed businesses. In this role, he was responsible for significant revenue growth, deepening client relationships and building a high-performing team. Earlier in his career, Don held positions at Arthur Andersen, Accenture and PwC, where he developed a strong foundation in financial consulting and advising on transactions and operational improvements. He also contributed to commercial growth efforts at CBIZ Private Equity, adding to his expertise in driving value for private equity-backed companies.

Don holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Millikin and is a registered Certified Public Accountant in Illinois.
