Cindy Kuang

Cindy Kuang is a Senior Associate in the Transaction Advisory Services Practice at Portage Point Partners in the New York City office. Cindy advises private equity (PE) and corporate clients on various aspects of mergers and acquisitions as well as in-court and out-of-court restructurings. She also supports tax structuring and modeling engagements, including Section 382, tax basis and transaction cost analyses. 

Prior to Portage Point, Cindy was an Associate in the Restructuring Tax Services and Global Transaction Tax groups at Alvarez & Marsal. There, she advised distressed companies on the tax consequences of restructurings, including insolvency and cancellation of debt income, and supported PE clients with tax attribute analyses. 

Cindy holds a Master in Professional Accounting (MPA) and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin. She is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the state of Texas.
