Chirag Makanji

Chirag Makanji is a Vice President in the Valuations Practice at Portage Point Partners in the Atlanta office. Chirag has over a decade of experience in valuation and financial advisory, supporting clients across the investment lifecycle.

Chirag specializes in valuations for financial reporting, fresh-start accounting, acquisitions and divestitures, Foreign Investment in Real Property Act (FIRPTA), depreciation studies, insurance purposes and tax reporting with extensive expertise in the valuation of property, plant and equipment. He has led engagements for private equity firms, Fortune 500 and private companies across various industries, including energy, oil and gas, consumer and industrial products, infrastructure, healthcare and real estate. Chirag brings a global perspective, having advise clients across North and South America, Europe and Asia.

Prior to joining Portage Point, Chirag was a Vice President at Houlihan Lokey in the Corporate Valuation Advisory Services practice. Previously, he was a Senior Associate at KPMG in the Economic & Valuation Services practice.

Chirag earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Texas A&M University. He holds FINRA Series 79 and 63 licenses.
