Chaz Chism

Chaz Chism serves as a Vice President of Data Analytics at Portage Point Partners based in the firm’s Dallas office. As an experienced technology leader, he has significant experience designing, building and governing robust enterprise data and analytics platforms. His expertise includes designing comprehensive enterprise data strategy and governance plans, building scalable cloud data warehouses, implementing extensible metadata driven pipelines, enabling organizational analytics capabilities, helping businesses adopt data-driven cultures and cultivating meaningful business relationships.

Prior to Portage Point, Chaz worked at a boutique technology consultancy where he specialized in emerging technologies while establishing strong partnerships with global stakeholders at all levels. This included account ownership, project management, leading cross-functional teams of consultants, designing comprehensive data strategies and implementing multi-million-dollar enterprise data and analytics solutions.

Prior to his time in technology consulting, Chaz played a pivotal role in organization-wide analytics for a Hong Kong-based 3PL where his primary responsibilities included FP&A reporting, KPI dashboards, automation of financial statements, process improvement, vendor management, database administration, data integration and supply chain optimization.

Chaz obtained his Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics with a focus in Computer Science from Texas State University, graduating with distinction. He currently holds certifications from Snowflake and Lean Six Sigma.
