Azfar Qureshi is a Managing Director in the Performance Improvement practice based in Chicago. He specializes in technology-enabled restructuring, cost and margin optimization, technology strategy and the private equity (PE) deal lifecycle

With over 25 years of leadership experience, Azfar has guided global organizations and PE sponsors through enterprise-wide performance turnarounds, operational transformations and complex corporate restructuring efforts. His expertise spans EBITDA enhancement programs, commercial and operational DDs, carve-outs and integrations and technology modernization

Azfar blends deep technology acumen with strategic and financial insight to reshape underperforming operations and accelerate growth. He has driven results across industries leading cross-functional teams across North America, Europe and Asia. His work is distinguished by an emphasis on AI and automation, enabling clients to compress time-to-value, reduce operating complexity and sustain performance gains post-transaction.

Prior to joining Portage Point, Azfar was a Managing Director at KPMG, where he led several large-scale transformation engagements. Earlier in his career, he spent more than a decade at AlixPartners advising boards, executive teams and investors on technology performance improvement, working capital optimization and restructuring, earning a reputation for pragmatic, results-oriented leadership.

Azfar holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
