Alyssa Lozynski

Senior Director

Alyssa Lozynski joined Portage Point Partners in 2020 and currently serves as a Senior Director.

While at Portage Point, Alyssa has led numerous turnaround and restructuring engagements as an advisor and interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and has led and supported distressed M&A processes. Both in-court and out-of-court, Alyssa focuses on leading organizations through complex situations, developing go-forward operational and strategic turnaround plans, supporting companies with stakeholder management and negotiations, developing liquidity management tools and cash flow forecasts, contingency planning and developing go-forward strategic business plans.

Some of Alyssa’s experience includes leading a chapter 11 restructuring of a non-for-profit safety net hospital in Los Angeles, resulting in a successful §363 sale process allowing the hospital to keep its doors open to service the community. She also led a chapter 11 restructuring of a public pharmaceutical company, which was sold in three separate asset sales through a competitive §363 sale process, resulting in significantly higher than expected sale values. Alyssa assisted a company in successfully negotiating an out-of-court debt-for-equity swap agreement with lenders and equity holders, eliminating the need for a chapter 11 filing and converting $444 million of secured debt into a $25 million new term loan and common equity. Alyssa has also led a chapter 11 restructuring and supported a §363 sale of substantially all of a company’s assets, with a stalking horse bid of $65MM provided by the equity sponsor, resulting in 100% recovery to the senior secured lender and the majority of the unsecured creditors.

Prior to joining Portage Point, Alyssa was in the Transaction Advisory Group at Alvarez & Marsal where she provided financial and operational transaction support for private equity and strategic parties during the pre-close diligence stages. Prior to joining Alvarez & Marsal, Alyssa was at Deloitte within the M&A Transaction Services Group. She has worked on over 100 transactions with enterprise values ranging from $50 million to over $4 billion.

Alyssa hold a master’s in Accounting from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois with a minor in Finance and is a certified public accountant. In 2022, Alyssa was a recipient of the Americas Rising Star Dealmakers Award by the Global M&A Network, which recognizes achievements of dealmakers under the age of 40 from the restructuring, private equity and M&A industries.
