Alex Peña, Jr.

Alex Peña, Jr. is an Associate at Portage Point Partners in the New York office where he is responsible for conducting financial and operational analysis, developing key performance indicators, supporting value creation initiatives, constructing 13-week cash flows, analyzing working capital assessments and assisting in the overall implementation of value maximization strategies.

Prior to Portage Point, Alex was an Investment Banking Analyst at Goldman Sachs, where he provided mergers and acquisitions (M&A) advisory services to corporate clients and financial sponsors across the financial technology sector. His work included conducting due diligence and comprehensive market research to assess operational scenarios, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient deal execution and constructing financial models to evaluate accounting, cash flow and leverage impacts of mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations and other strategic transactions.

Alex earned a Bachelor of Science in Business with a concentration in Finance from New York University Stern School of Business and is FINRA Series 79 certified.
