Alex Ingerman is a Senior Vice President in the Office of the CFO practice at Portage Point Partners based in New York. Alex partners with senior-level leadership of public and private equity (PE)-backed companies on complex transactions, business transformation, cash and liquidity management, FP&A, long-range planning, working capital improvement and performance analytics. He specializes in distilling complex problems into key takeaways with actionable solutions. 

Alex has expertise in developing financial models to unlock key business insights, drive informed strategic decision-making, improve liquidity and profitability and enable long-term success. He has advised C-suite executives, finance teams, operating partners and sponsors of companies from $150 million to $30 billion revenue and has experience across a wide range of industries including hospitality, retail, restaurant and food services, technology, automotive and healthcare. 

Prior to Portage Point, Alex was a leader in the OCFO practice at Ankura. Notable engagements include turnaround and sell-side preparation for a $500 million revenue aftermarket parts conglomerate, liquidity management and debtor-in-possession (DIP) budgeting for a $300 million revenue cosmetics bankruptcy, working capital optimization, liquidity management and treasury organization redesign for a $6 billion revenue global retailer and financial reporting transformation for a $30 billion system-wide sales mutli-brand restaurant franchisor. Alex began his career in the Corporate Finance practice at Berkeley Research Group. 

Alex is the Co-Founder, Treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors of First Generation Investors, a national 501c(3) nonprofit that teaches high school students long-term investing and provides them with real money to invest. He helped conceptualize and build the organization, leading the expansion to over 4,000 students across 19 states.  

Alex earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of Pennsylvania with a major in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics and minors in Mathematics and Economics.
