Joellen Sorenson is a Managing Director and Head of Marketing at Portage Point Partners, responsible for all brand, marketing and communications strategies for the firm.  Joellen partners closely with the executive team and practice leadership to ensure clarity and alignment of brand narrative, growth programs, service line offerings and competitive positioning across a dynamic advisory landscape.  She is also responsible for managing marketing technologies and building a scalable marketing operations function to enable the firm’s growth targets.

Joellen is a strategic marketing leader with a proven track record for growing B2B brands, pipeline and revenue.  She is an expert in go-to-market strategy, digital marketing, demand generation, content strategy and sales enablement.

Prior to Portage Point, Joellen was Director of Marketing at global advisory firm, Stout, where she led brand and marketing efforts for the Investment Banking and Transaction Advisory groups. Joellen was a key member of the leadership team hired to transform marketing into a proactive growth engine for the firm, including a full organization re-brand, new marketing tech stack, robust inbound lead generation programs and significant service line expansion.  During her tenure, Stout achieved a 33% increase in brand awareness, 4x revenue growth, transitioned to private equity (PE) ownership and integrated numerous acquisitions.

Previously, Joellen worked as Director of Content Consulting for Corporate Visions where she delivered sales and marketing enablement methodologies to Fortune 1000 clients including Hewlett Packard, AT&T, Mastercard, GE Healthcare, ADP and Forsythe Technology.  Additionally, she has worked for high growth, middle market and investor backed companies within professional services, SaaS, and other tech-enabled sectors.

Joellen earned a Master of Business Administration in Marketing and Strategy from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
