
Morris (Mo) Alhale
Senior Director
Morris Alhale is a Senior Director at Portage Point Partners, advising management teams, board of directors and other stakeholders through complex restructurings. For more than 15 years, Morris has worked with companies and creditors in periods of extremely tight liquidity to help develop and implement financial and operational turnaround plans.
Morris has extensive experience advising stakeholders in liquidity management, business plan development, recapitalizing balance sheets, M&A support, contingency planning, evaluating strategic alternatives and negotiating plans of reorganization. He has significant industry experience in healthcare, life sciences, retail, media and consumer goods and services.
Morris is known for his collaborative approach to drive successful outcomes. He has served as a Senior Advisor on various complex in-court and out-of-court restructurings including Steward Health Care, Clovis Oncology, Mallinckrodt Plc, Endo International and Hexion, Inc. Morris has supported clients in interim management roles including Interim Head of Treasury and FP&A for a middle market consumer goods company and Head of Finance for a private healthcare service company.
Prior to Portage Point Partners, Morris was a Partner at AlixPartners in the Turnaround and Restructuring Services practice. Previously he served as a senior member at the middle market restructuring boutique Marotta Gund Budd & Dzera and a member of the portfolio management workout group at CIT Group.
In 2022, Morris was selected for the American Bankruptcy Institute’s “40 Under 40” emerging leaders in the insolvency practice award. Morris participates in various industry panels covering topics such as key issues and trends in healthcare and life sciences, best practices for liquidity management and keys to implementing successful reorganization plans in complex situations. He also co-authored the article “Maximizing Value Amid Uncertainty in the Healthcare Industry” in the Journal of Corporate Renewal.
Morris earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Finance and Accounting (Cum Laude) from Boston University’s School of Management. He is a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor and an active member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and Turnaround Management Association as well as a committee member for Her Justice and UJA NextGen Restructuring organizations.
