Managing Director
Steven Shenker is a Managing Director at Portage Point Partners, where he leverages his extensive expertise in in-court and out-of-court restructurings, operational and financial turnarounds, performance improvement initiatives, strategic growth planning, private equity investing and mergers and acquisitions (M&A). He specializes in partnering with both private and public middle market companies to drive transformative results.
During his tenure at Portage Point, Steven has held several key leadership roles, including Chief Restructuring Officer for Blink Fitness, Chief Transformation Officer for QC Supply, Chief Restructuring Officer for the Center for Autism and Related Disorders, Chief Executive Officer for JMB Shipping and Deputy Chief Restructuring Officer for Bouchard Transportation. He has successfully led numerous performance improvement, turnaround and restructuring engagements across diverse industries, demonstrating a strong track record of delivering results.
Prior to Portage Point, Steven was a founding member and Vice President at Periphas Capital, where he focused on sourcing, evaluating and executing investments in middle market companies. He also spent two years at The Carlyle Group in its middle market private equity group, overseeing five portfolio companies and managing new investments. Earlier in his career, Steven was an investment banking analyst at Moelis & Company, where he concentrated on M&A as well as restructuring transactions.
Steven earned a Bachelor of Science (Magna Cum Laude) in Business and Management, specializing in Finance, from the Sy Syms School of Business at Yeshiva University.
