Senior Vice President
Ryan Williams joined Portage Point in 2019 and currently serves as a Senior Vice President where he provides advisory services on both restructuring and performance improvement engagements. His primary responsibilities include constructing 13-week cash flows, conducting granular financial and operational analysis, developing key performance indicators, analyzing working capital optimization and assisting in the generation and execution of value enhancing initiatives.
While at Portage Point, Ryan has served as sole associate in the restructuring and eventual sale of Energold, a publicly traded global drilling solutions provider with operations in 20+ countries throughout the Americas, Africa and Europe. While at Energold, Ryan drove positive impact through heightened liquidity management, vendor and management and the construction and management of 13-week cash flows for seven individual operating entities. Additionally, Ryan provided operational and restructuring advisory services to Dura Automotive, a global Tier 1 automotive supplier. While at Dura, Ryan supported the construction of the 13-week cash flow and DIP sizing tool, managed diligence and communications with external stakeholders. Ryan aided Bouchard Transportation, the largest privately owned Jones Act operator, in its sale of 25 articulated tug-barge units (ATBs) through an auction process. Additionally, Ryan led diligence for the sale of the Canadian assets of a pharmaceutical company, generating more than 15 overbids in the auction process. Most recently, Ryan supported the restructuring of Centers for Autism and Related Disorders resulting in the successful sale of all 130 active treatment facilities and doubling anticipated return to creditors trough the sale process.
Prior to joining Portage Point, Ryan was an Investment Banking Analyst in the Global Industrials and Services Group at Credit Suisse, where he focused on analyzing and executing strategic alternatives for industry group clients over $1 billion in enterprise value using discounted cash flow, comparable company, precedent transaction, leveraged buyout and transaction consequences analyses. While at Credit Suisse, Ryan covered a variety of industries ranging from automotive, industrials, business services, education technology and building. He has worked on a number of engagements including activist defense advisory services to a Tier 1 automotive supplier experiencing heightened activist activity, M&A advisory to a leading PE fund contemplating a potential $10 billion take private in the engineering & construction industry and the acquisition financing of a leading education technology company.
Ryan graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and was a member of the Investment Banking Workshop. Ryan holds his Series 79 certification.
