Thomas J. Allison

Thomas Allison is a Senior Advisor at Portage Point Partners and has previously served as Chairman, CEO, CRO, Lead Independent Director, Chief Recovery Officer, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Executive Vice President serving companies in challenging situations, unlocking and maximizing value for all stakeholders. He has been a corporate officer or key advisor in some of the largest and most complex turnarounds and restructurings in a variety of industries. Tom has provided interim leadership in a wide range of complex organizational and financial restructurings

Prior to Portage Point, Mr. Allison was an Executive Vice President and Senior Managing Director at Mesirow Financial Consulting where he managed complex turnarounds and advised on major reorganizations and insolvencies. He served as Interim President & CEO of Franciscan Sisters of Chicago Service Corporations and also guided Sprint Nextel’s Board through a cash management crisis, chairing the Capital Rationing Committee and leading a 40-person team in developing a cash forecasting, management and disbursement system

Previously, Mr. Allison was the National Practice Leader, Restructuring Group for Huron Consulting Group. As one of the original founders of Huron, he led the Huron team serving as Financial Advisor to ATA Airlines during its bankruptcy. He was also Partner-in- Charge for the Arthur Andersen Central Region Restructuring Practice and managed the sale and bankruptcy process at Comdisco. As EVP / CFO, he managed a major turnaround plan for FPA Medical Management, Inc. and served as Interim CFO for United American Healthcare Corporation

Mr. Allison has served on numerous corporate boards and is currently a Director and Chair of the Audit Committee for Monroe Capital, a Director for PTC Group Holdings Corp., Lead Independent Director for Novum Pharma, and a Trustee for INSYS Therapeutics, Inc. He was an Independent Board Member for Rockpile Energy Services, a Director for The Nordam Group, a Director, Board Chair and Chair of the Audit Committee for Katy Industries, and an Independent Director for Silver Airways. He was Chief Executive Officer and Independent Board Member for American Optical Services and he served as Chairman of the Board for Forge Group in Perth, Australia
