Kenneth B. Hamlet is the managing member of Monalex Partners, LLC, a private investment and consulting firm he founded in 2001. Monalex Partners seeks out investment opportunities where Mr. Hamlet’s operating experience and expertise can be best leveraged to assist companies reach their potential through his active board engagement and advising. Areas of interest and experience include hospitality and gaming, restaurant, education, business services, distribution, real estate and marketing companies

Mr. Hamlet is an operating partner with Green Hospitality Partners, an investment vehicle for the acquisition of hotels and a management company. He also currently serves as a senior consultant to Uprise Energy, the world’s first portable 10kW wind turbine; a board member and senior advisor to VenueBook, an online event platform that facilitates booking of functions in restaurants, hotels and large-format venues located in major U.S. metropolitan areas; a board member of and senior advisor to Loyyal, a blockchain-based loyalty program

Mr. Hamlet has a wide spectrum of executive experience, notably his tenure from 1983 to 1991 as president and CEO of Holiday Inns Inc. Hotel Group, then the largest hospitality concern in the world. During his tenure, Mr. Hamlet was instrumental in introducing two new brands (Hampton Inn and Embassy Suites) and played a significant role in the integration of Harrah’s into Holiday Corp. He also participated in the $2.5 billion recapitalization of the company in 1987. Under his stewardship, Holiday Corporation grew the following brands: Hampton Inns, Embassy Suites, Residence Inn as well as the company’s namesake, Holiday Inns, which was Mr. Hamlet’s primary focus with over 3,600 hotels worldwide including more than 3,000 franchisees
